Psalm 136:1 Reason #136 to Rejoice!
This beautiful almond tree in Jerusalem has become a faithful friend.
In the springtime I especially notice when, like a bride, she’s adorned in a heavenly white garment for all to see. After a long cold winter, God’s creation welcomes the warmth and the rain a new season brings. Birds settle in the extended branches with joyful melodies, because God created them to do so.
If the branches of the trees can lift their limbs to the heavens, so should we.
If the birds of the air can sing their joyful tune, so should we.
When we encounter a long dry season, we need to remember that things will change. The Lord is GOOD, and His mercy endureth forever.
